Levy Payers: Please Read. Update on CITB Training Standards

As you may be aware, CITB have now launched the new training standards for the initial 8 plant categories.

The only two that affect the training/ testing we deliver at the moment is A40 and A73. All our other categories will remain unchanged.

CITB have granted a 2 month grace period before the changes become mandatory.

31^st July to 30^th September

We will not be changing the way we train and test.

A40: We will have a maximum of 4 delegates per 4 day course. The cost will remain at £995 + vat per person.

A73: Maximum 3 delegates per 3 day course. The cost will remain at £995 + vat per person.

This means that the training element of the grant cannot be claimed.

However the testing element of the grant can still be claimed as usual. The only change will be that it will not be automatically awarded. CITB are asking employers to manually claim the grant for any testing that is completed in this period only.

You can apply for grant for these tests by completing this application form (Excel, 101KB) and sending to grant.product@citb.co.uk. The application must be submitted within 52 weeks of the achievement date.

You can find more information about this process here. This is only available until 30th September 2023. After this date, the new standards will be the only way to claim Grants.

1^st October onwards

A73

Will remain unchanged- 3 delegates, 3 days, £995  + vat per person

You can claim £300 per delegate *t&cs apply please see CITB website for more details.

A40

We will continue to run our usual 4 day training course with maximum of 4 delegates per 4 day course. The cost will remain at £995 + vat per person. The CITB Grant CANNOT be claimed if delegates attend this course.

We will also be running a 4 day course with maximum 3 delegates as per the new CITB training standards. These courses will not be as regular as the 4 day course and will depend on demand. We will be adding grant fundable course dates on to our website shortly. Please contact us if you need to book dates before this time.

This course will be fully grant fundable for the training and testing elements. You will be able to claim £630 per delegate *t&cs apply please see CITB website for more details.

This course will cost £1330 + vat per person

Grants will be issued automatically from 1^st October as long as you provide us with your CITB registration number.
