The CPCS Appointed Person course is ideal for candidates with lifting experience and those who wish to become an Appointed Person. It is also suitable for Health & Safety Executives, or similar roles who wish to have an awareness of lift plans.

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with underpinning knowledge, in order for them to understand the role and responsibility of the Appointed Person.

The  CPCS Slinger Signaller course is ideal for candidates who are inexperienced operators who are required to undertake slinging and signalling for the movement of loads using lifting equipment.

It’s a great place to start in the lifting/crane industry.

It is also suitable for candidates who are experienced but are required to gain the CPCS A40 all Duties Slinger Signaller card.

Candidates may be new to the role or may be those with limited experience and no formal training.

How to Prepare for your CPCS Mobile Crane course

Individuals can have little or no experience of working with lifting equipment, especially mobile cranes. However, it is essential that you have a good knowledge of Slinger Signaller Signals.

If you have no slinging experience, you must familiarise yourself with the Signals of the Slinger Signaller, or start with the CPCS Slinger Signaller course.

The CPCS Mobile Crane course is idea for candidates who are required to operate mobile cranes for lifting operations on construction sites and other allied industries.

No previous experience is necessary. (However some previous hydraulic experience is an advantage). Also it is vital that you are familiar with the signals of the Slinger Signaller. If you are not familiar, you may wish to complete the Slinger Signaller course first.

Good hand/eye co-ordination is required. Please note that a Group C category licence is required for driving on the open road, however this is not essential for the course.
