New Starter Spotlight: Meet Joe Graham
We’re delighted to continue our new starter series by introducing Joe Graham, who joined our team at Ainscough Training Services five weeks ago as a CPCS Trainer/Tester at our Leyland training facility.
Joe brings exceptional experience to our team, having spent 15 years in lifting operations with Portkabin, where he served as an Appointed Person for the entire Merseyside region.
His comprehensive background spans every aspect of lifting operations, from supervision to lift planning, making him an invaluable addition to our training team. And he’s hit the ground running and slotted right into the business.
Tim Morgan, Managing Director at Ainscough Training Services, said: “Joe’s wealth of experience and passion for sharing knowledge made him the perfect fit for our training team. His practical expertise combined with his genuine enthusiasm for developing others in the lifting industry aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering the highest quality training. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Reflecting on his career transition, Joe told us why he’s made the switch.
He said: “I’ve done everything to do with lifting operations – AP, supervisor, lift plans. I do a mix of everything. After 15 years, I just wanted a change. I’d been looking for a fresh start after going as far as I could go with Portkabin, and this job as CPCS Trainer/Tester at
Ainscough Training Services is it.
“I just want to pass on the experience and learning I have to new people entering the lifting game and even those who are experienced. Every day you learn something new in this industry and that’s the point.
“I’m really enjoying it and I’m enjoying being outside doing the practical stuff as well as the classroom work. I’m enjoying being around my family a bit more too. We have a new baby and it’s important that I’m around. You don’t always get that working day-to-day on site.”
Joe’s transition from operations to training represents the perfect blend of seasoned expertise and fresh perspective that our industry needs.
His hands-on experience in every facet of lifting operations, combined with his natural teaching ability, ensures our trainees and candidates receive the most comprehensive and practical education possible.
The variety in his new role – from classroom instruction to hands-on practical assessments in our world class facility in Lancashire – keeps him engaged while allowing him to share the depth of knowledge he’s accumulated over his impressive career.
Welcome to the team, Joe! We’re excited to see the positive impact you’ll have on our trainees and the wider lifting community.
