New starter spotlight: Samantha Preece joins Ainscough Training Services

As Ainscough Training Services continues to grow, we’re pleased to welcome Samantha Preece to the team as our new Accounts and Administration Executive.

Since joining just a few weeks ago, Samantha has made an immediate impact – bringing fresh energy, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for lifting operations training. A proud Chorley local, Samantha comes to Ainscough from a completely different professional background, having spent the last eight years in the community transport sector. The move into construction may seem like a shift, but for Samantha, it felt like coming full circle. She said: “Being in construction is different to what I’m used to, but heavy plant and machinery have been part of my life for as long as I can remember through my family. So this new start really feels like a good fit for me.”

After spotting the job online, a phone call and an interview quickly followed and Samantha joined the business shortly after. She’s already become a key part of the day-to-day operations, helping coordinate training programmes and support candidates through their journey from booking to certification.

Samantha added: “I’ve settled in really well. There’s a great group of people here who are committed to delivering the very best training, and I’m glad I can play an active part in that. Already I’ve booked in cohorts of people and then seen them progress through the stages of their training to passing with certification. It’s really rewarding to be part of that process.”

Samantha’s approach hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Claire Critchley, Training Centre Manager, praised her immediate contribution to the team.

She said: “Samantha is an absolute asset to the team. From day one she’s rolled up her sleeves, mucked in, and hit the ground running. She brings a real energy and professionalism to the role, and it’s already making a difference to how we operate. She’s taken to the construction training environment with confidence, and we’re lucky to have her.”

Samantha’s arrival marks another important step in strengthening the business behind the scenes, ensuring that as our training delivery grows, so too does the support and care given to every candidate who walks through our doors.

Training isn’t purely about ‘hands-on training’.

At Ainscough, there are many people who provide valuable touchpoints for candidates and we’ll be shining the light on all of them.
