Ainscough Training Services, one of the UK’s largest independent specialist training providers for lifting operations, has launched a recruitment drive as demand for courses continues to grow across multiple sectors.
The Leyland-based company, which has been training lifting professionals for decades, is actively seeking candidates for four positions ranging from technical instructors to administrative support.
The recruitment expansion comes as the lifting industry faces increasing demands for qualified, certified professionals. With construction and infrastructure projects ramping up nationwide, properly trained crane operators, slinger signallers, and lifting supervisors are more crucial than ever – especially if the Government it to hit its ambitious building targets.
Claire Critchley, Centre Manager at Ainscough Training Services, said: “The industry is recognising that proper training isn’t just about compliance – it’s about creating a culture of safety that protects lives and prevents costly incidents. Our expansion allows us to meet this growing need while maintaining the high standards we’re known for.”
Our company is recruiting across a diverse range of roles, each offering competitive compensation packages and comprehensive benefits:
Lifting Operations Instructor positions start at £40,000, targeting experienced professionals ready to transition from field work to teaching. The role welcomes candidates without formal training experience, prioritising practical expertise and the ability to connect with trainees.
NVQ Assessor roles, offered at £36,000, focus on helping operators achieve nationally recognised qualifications through real-world assessments conducted at client sites across the UK.
An Office Administrator position (£19,500) requires Sage accounting system experience and offers an attractive work-life balance with Monday-Friday hours from 9:00-14:30.
We are also seeking a Part-Time Mobile Crane Operator at £15.35 per hour – a role specifically designed for experienced operators seeking reduced pressure and better work-life balance, particularly appealing to those considering semi-retirement.
What sets Ainscough Training Services apart in the crowded training market our independence and bespoke offering to candidates. Unlike many competitors tied to equipment manufacturers or large corporate groups, the company’s independent status allows us to deliver unbiased, comprehensive training focused purely on safety and competence. And we do it with personality.
“Being independent means we can focus on what really matters – delivering training that’s fit for purpose and creates genuinely skilled professionals,” Claire added.
“Our instructors are operators who’ve walked the walk, not just people who’ve read about it in a manual. Our courses are delivered with passion, energy and absolute competence.”
All permanent positions come with substantial benefits packages including company cars or car allowances, mobile phones, laptops, established pension schemes, and 24 days of paid holiday plus bank holidays. The company also emphasises ongoing professional development, offering comprehensive training programmes and coaching opportunities.
Located at their purpose-built facility in Leyland, Lancashire, the company offers easy motorway access and free parking, making it an attractive proposition for candidates across the North West and beyond.
Candidates interested in any of the four positions are encouraged to send their CV and a cover letter explaining their suitability to info@ainscoughtraining.co.uk.
